Mrs. Jodie Mae Walker, age 92, a longtime resident of Mt. Vernon, AL died on Monday, December 6, 2010. She was a member of Lockler Memorial Baptist Church and retired from Searcy Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Walker; daughter, Julia Seabury; son, Rufus Walker and daughter, Emily Faile. She is survived by her children, Helen (Sam) Lewis, Jr., Russell (Estelle) Walker and Winnie (Paul) Bush; Daughter-in-law, Earlene Walker and son in law, Bennie Faile; twenty grandchildren, many great grandchildren, sisters, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2010, at 3:00 PM from Lockler Memorial Baptist Church. Family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 PM until service time at the church. Interment will be in Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church Cemetery. Jodie was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.
