W. Marshall Strait
Walter Marshall Strait, 47, Fort Littleton, died at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, 1991, at home, after an extended illness.
Born April 11, 1944 in Clear Ridge, Fulton County, he was a son of Olive R. Winegardner Strait of Hustontown and the late Arthur P. Strait.
He was a member of Fort Littleton United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 561 of McConnellsburg.
For more than 28 years, he was a pressman at James River Corp., Chambersburg.
He was a U. S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam in 1966 and 1967.
He was a life member of the Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Company.
Surviving are his wife, Loretta Long Strait, whom he married on August 23, 1969, a son and two daughters: Richard, Christina and Amy, all at home; two sisters; Geraldine of Everett and Clara Mae of Hustontown and a brother, Arthur R. of Greencastle.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 5 in the M. R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown. The Rev. Kenneth Cornelius officiated. Burial was made in Hustontown Cemetery.
Fulton Honor Guard conducted military graveside services.
