Dora S. Mountain, affectionately known to all as "Grandma" Mountain, was laid to rest in the Otis cemetery, February 14, 1966, following services at the Otis Presbyterian church with Reverand Thomas C. Westfall officiating.

Mrs. Mary Rogers and Mrs. Kaye Hoch, accompanied by Mrs. John Graves at the organ, sang: "The Church in the Wildwood", and "The Old Rugged Cross."

Pallbearers were: Kenneth Walker, Jackie Dexter, James Presnell, Donald Gisi, David Pont, and Bernard Gisi.

Dora S. Mountain, daughter of Peter and Margaret (Shaw) Andersen, was born in Cass County, Iowa, near Massena, on June 13, 1891. She departed life in Denver, Colorado on February 10, 1966, at the age of seventy-four years, eight months and twenty-seven days.

Her illness of cancer was short-termed. The hospitalization of less than twelve hours was the first in her life.

Dora attended the Cass County schools. At the age of 18 she was baptized by Rev. Paul Beckers and joined the Christian Church of Cumberland, Iowa.

On August 24, 1909, Dora S. Andersen and Wray W. Mountain were joined in holy matrimony by Reverend E. E. Mack. Mr. and Mrs. Albert H. Mountain attendants. Eleven children, all living, were born of this union.

They lived on an Iowa farm until February 24, 1921, when they moved to a farm south of Hyde, Colorado. Since 1942 their home has been Platner, Colorado.

On August 23, 1959, Mr. and Mrs. Mountain celebrated their 50th anniversary, all eleven children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren attending. . .

She will be greatly missed, but the faith and love extended by "Grandma" Mountain will be forever reflected in the lives of those who knew her.
