Note: I've edited this memorial now, three times. This is my uncle's memorial! I'm not going to edit it anymore. Next thing will be someone will tell me that since his stone doesn't say "Ancel Leroy Farley" I can't have that in his name & they'll want me to edit it back.

At 9:30 am with his family surrounding him, Leroy Farley, my uncle, went HOME to be with his parents and siblings who have passed before him.

Ancel Leroy Farley was born in Stark City, Newton Co., Missouri on July 16 1936 to William Glen Farley Sr and Bertha Irene Landreth Farley. He was one of twelve children. He was known as Leroy to all who knew him.

His siblings included:

Linda Lou Farley
Peggy Francis Farley
William Glen Farley Jr
Glenna Collen Farley
Lewis Ray Farley
Louise Irene Farley
Bessie Maureen Farley
Jackie Gene Farley
Jimmie Dean Farley
Buddy "Bud" Caroll Farley
Patsy Jane Farley

Leroy married Martha Jane Crowder on November 11 1960 and together they had two children: Alan Lee Farley and Susan Jane Farley. They had five grandchildren: Cody Ryan Snow, Zachary Ryan Snow, Kyler Ryan Snow, Amanda Dawn Farley and Alan Lee Farley, Jr.

From Clark Funeral Home:

Leroy Farley, 75, Neosho, died Oct. 25, 2011 at his home in Neosho, following a lengthy illness. Leroy was born July 16, 1936 in Stark City, the son of Glen and Irene Farley. He graduated from Midway High School, had worked in the construction business for George Cullum, then worked as an iron worker for 42 years and retired from Farrell Construction in 2006, where he had worked for ten years. He was a former narrator for the Newton County Sheriff Posse; an avid Nascar fan and looked forward to an annual trip to Tallaggo, AL with his son, grandsons and son in law to see the Nascar Races and to watch his favorite driver, Rusty Wallace. Leroy and Martha (Crowder) were married on Nov. 11, 1960 at Kansas City, MO and she survives. Also surviving are two children, Alan Farley and wife, Marlene, Diamond and Susan Snow and husband, Bill, Neosho; four grandchildren, Amanda Duckett and husband, Glenn, Diamond; Bubby Farley, Granby; Zach Snow and Kyler Snow, Neosho; two great grandchildren, Huntyer and Ethan Duckett and Kynlee, due to arrive in Feb. 2012; two brothers, Jim Farley and wife, Sharon, Neosho and Bud Farley and wife, Joyce, Neosho and four sisters, Peggy Long, Neosho; Patsy Bridges and husband, Joe, Neosho; Colleen Rumley, Russellville, AR and Linda Reynolds, Neosho. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson, Cody Snow; two brothers, Jack Farley and Lewis Farley and two sisters, Louise and Betsy.

As Leroy would say, "I'm glad you got to see me. Write when you have work."
