Felix Smith died March 6 at his home near this city at the age of 86 years. He was united in marriage to Phoebe J. Wilkey in 1866, and to that union were born seven children, one son dying in infancy.
Left to mourn their loss are four sons and two daughters, William of Middletown, Fred of Columbus, Felix and Samuel of Yellowbud, Elizabeth Ellen Helsel of New Holland, Margaret Willis of Chillicothe and one sister, Nancy Sheets.
He was a retired farmer and spent most of his life in the community. He was a veteran of the Civil War, having served with honor in the 185th Regiment, Co. A, and was a member of G.A.R.
