ALBANY--Lotha Dean Beall, 78, died Friday in Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Beall was born in Randolph County, but lived most of her life in Delaware County. She worked in the food services department of Ball State University for 15 years before retiring in 1983. She was a life member of the American Legion Albany Post Auxiliary, Women of the Moose, Avondale Sympathy Club, and for more than 40 years a member of Rebakah Lodge 433 of Albany.
Survivors include four daughters, Peggy Armstrong (husband: William), Hartford City, Juanita Middaugh, Edon, Ohio, Betty Eaker (husband: Wendell), Russiaville, Ind., and Patricia Plum, Eaton; a sister, Ruth Rust, Tucson, Ariz.; two brothers, James Dean, Rushville, and Francis Dean (wife: Katheryn), Winchester; 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Alva Lamar Beall, died in 1986, and a son, Alva L. Beall Jr., died in 1988. Her parents, Homer and Leona Bell Courtney Dean and a sister, Rhea Rust are also deceased.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Garden View Funeral Home, north of Muncie. Entombment will be in Gardens of Memory next to the funeral home. Calling at the funeral home will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday.
