Mildred P. Harris, 92, was born December 23, 1918, in Henderson, Texas to Daniel and Kizzie Pollard.

She passed away on October 22, 2011, in Beaumont, Texas.

She lived in Logansport, Louisiana prior to relocating to Beaumont about 18 years ago.

Funeral services will take place Thursday, October 27, at 10:00 a.m., at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home, with Pastor Lloyd Betar of Forest Park United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m., at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Center, Texas.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her sons, Cleon B. Harris and wife, Carolyn of Broussard, LA., Eddie W. Harris and wife, Cynthia of Beaumont, TX; daughter, Linda K. Loudon of Austin, TX; Grandchildren, Leslie, Richard, Cheryl, Stacy and April; and great grandchildren; 2 sisters; 1 brother; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Harris; 4 brothers; 4 sisters; and her grandson, Berch.
