ASTORIA--Mrs. Hazel E. Ratcliff, 77, of Astoria, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Culbertson Memorial Hospital at Rushville.
She was born Sept. 28, 1897, near Lewistown, a daughter of Joseph and Myrtle Wilcoxen Grigsby. She married Jesse W. Collins on Oct. 29, 1914. He died Nov. 27, 1952. She married Grover Ratcliff on Jan. 30, 1954. He died May 23, 1966.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lella Ray and Mrs. Eileen Tippey, both of Astoria, and Mrs. Reta Rudd of Canton; 16 grandchildren; a step-grandchild; 19 great grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Eskridge of Lewistown and Mrs. Katie Fidler of Peoria Heights; a half sister, Mrs. Jennie Payne and a half brother, Arthur Grigsby, both of North Platte, Neb. A son and two brothers died earlier.
Mrs. Ratcliff was a member of Astoria United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Astoria United Methodist Church. The Rev. James Friesner assisted by Collis Trone will officiate.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
