Vincenzo James Allegro, age sixty-eight, well known retired Seymour fruit dealer, living at 104 North Walnut died at 9:30 o'clock Sunday night.
Mr Allegro was a native of Poliza, Sicily, where he was born on October 22, 1873, the son of Domonie and Josephine Sardo Allegro. The mother survives. He was married on May 15, 1903, at Cumberland, Md., to Anna Mascari, who survives. They moved to Seymour thirty-nine years ago and he was in the fruit business here for several years becoming well known not only in Seymour but through out southern Indiana.
He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and of the Modern Woodmen of America.
Besides the mother and widow, he is survived by a son Augustine Allegro, of Seymour and a daughter, Mrs. Josephine Bova, also of Seymour. Three brothers, Anthony, Mike and Caesar all of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Isabella Rizuta of Brooklyn and Mrs. Jennie Viscount of Pittsburgh, Pa. Two sons, Mike and Anthony Allegro, preceded him in death.
