Mrs. Betty M. Montgomery died after an illness of a few months in a Louisville hospital on Tuesday, February 16, at the age of 78. She was the daughter of the late John and Annie Sweeten Bell.

Surviving are one son, Rollin H. Montgomery, Columbia; 8 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

The Reverend Earl Wooton conducted the funeral services on Thursday, February 18, at the Grissom-Maupin & Heskamp Funeral Home. Interment was in the Columbia City Cemetery.
