Weltha Estella Palmer died Sunday evening, May 16, 2004 at her brother's home in Cuchillo Creek- Williamsburg NM after a lengthy illness. She was 82.
She was born June 21, 1921 to Winfred Barnabus and Frances Winifred (Bletcher) Walker, in Senorito, New Mexico. She married John Kelsey Palmer April 2, 1954 in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. She was a homemaker throughout most of her life. Estella was a member of the American Legion, the VFW Women's Auxiliary and the Presbyterian Church in Springerville. She enjoyed building rifles with her husband. Known to her family as Stella.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband John K. Palmer; two step-sons Ryan Palmer and Lee Palmer, all of Springerville Az, a brother, Gerald W. Bletcher of Williamsburg NM, two half sisters, Rose Mary Gallegos, and Lille Gallegos, of Cuba, New Mexico; step-sister Norris Hinkel of Brookings Organ, Nephew Leonard V. Bletcher, Niece Estella Nolene. Great nieces Fredene, and Teressa Torres
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Leonard B. Bletcher, and step mother Mary Bletcher of Cuba NM.
