She is survived by four sons and nine daughters: Carol and Roger VanRenterghem of Brooklyn, Lyle and Susan Kriegel of Booneville, IN, Anthony and Jane Kriegel of Brooklyn, Gerry and Mark Moore of Fort Dodge, IA, Loretta and Randy Grant of Athens, TN, Helen and Joe Henry of Newton, Iowa, Lorraine and Gene Willett, Annette and Marvin Goodrich, Joyce and Elmer Anderson, all of Brooklyn, Marilyn and Marc D'Aguanno of Montezuma, Joe and Julie Kriegel, Pauline and Steve Plants all of Brooklyn and Ed and Stacy Kriegel of Grinnell; 46 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Marcella Osterberger of Mason City, Ellen Olsen and Barbara Metz of Tama, Imelda Roth of Brooklyn and two brothers, Dale Henle of Toledo and Wayne Henle of Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Melvin in 1987, three brothers, Verle, George and Pat Henle, a sister, Claras Kriegel, a granddaughter, Melissa Kriegel, a daughter-in-law, Carrine Kriegel and a son-in-law, Jim Mowrey.
Teresa Grace Henle was born September 3, 1923 in Tama County, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Nettie Gettis Henle. She attended the Tama schools and married Melvin Eugene Kriegel on April 15, 1941 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Tama, Iowa. Besides being a wife and mother, Teresa assisted her husband on the family farm. She enjoyed her flower gardens, reading, playing cards, casino trips, bingo with her sister Millie, and dancing with Grace McKeag. She enjoyed traveling with her family which included many states, Germany, and two trips to El Salvadore. Teresa was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Brooklyn, the Altar and Rosary Society and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Grinnell.
