Mildred L. Owens, 88 of New Philadelphia died Sunday, January 9, 2000 at Union Hospital following a brief illness.

She was a retired restaurant and cafeteria employee having worked at Kaufmann's Restaurant in Bowling Green, Wooster Highway Elementary and Park Elementary both in Dover.

Born April 25, 1911 in Hiawatha, Kansas she was a daughter of the late John and Irene Brown Dilling.

She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Dover.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Price W. Owens who died on October 2, 1987.

She is survived by a son: Bill Owens and his companion Pamela Armstrong of New
Philadelphia.

Four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son Robert Owens, three sisters and two brothers.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2000 at 10:00 am at the Northlawn Cemetery in Canton with Rev. Steve Daniels officiating.
