Alman Schemmerhorn was born in the State of New York, March 26, 1852, died March 6, 1899. Aged forty-six years, eleven months and twenty days. He married Sarah Jane Fletcher in 1874. The union was blessed by five daughters namely, Mrs. John Sands, of Simpson, Mrs. Wm. Hinel, Misses Ella, Gertrude and Neva. Funeral services was held at the German Baptist church at 11 o'clock, Wednesday. Rev. Fall officiated.
