He was married to the former Virginia Mae Rimer on 15 January 1926. Virginia died on 20 April 1964.
Mr.Conrad was a mine foreman for the P.& N.Coal Company until March 1953, when he opened Conrad's Diner on Rt. 119.
He operated the diner until last year.
He is survived by two sons: John J.Conrad of DuBois and Bruce E. Conrad of Big Run; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Anna) Stumpf of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; 2 great- grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Grace Young, of Punxsutawney R.D.#1
