Orville Harlan 'Shrimp' Gueulette 1918-2009
Orville Harlan "Shrimp" Gueulette, 90, Fredonia, died Thursday, February 12, 2009, at Golden Living in Fredonia.
He was born Dec. 20, 1918, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, to Joseph and Lillian Eflin Gueulette.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946 and was employed with Lafarge Cement for 37 years.
He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church, Fredonia.
He married Georgia Hoskins on Feb. 25, 1946, in Fredonia. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Orville E. Gueulette, Pittsburg; four daughters, Ruby Linder, Fredonia, Barbara Sadowski, Phoenix, Ariz., Edna Parks, Shawnee, and Roberta Rutledge, Chanute; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Gueulette.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Countryside Funeral Home, Fredonia.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
