Thelma L. Adams, 77, of Uniontown died Wednesday Aug. 7, 2002, in the Washington Hospital, Washington, Pa. She was born April 15, 1925, in South Huntingdon Township, a daughter of the late Russell and Georgia Weaver Smith.
Mrs. Adams was employed for 37 years as the office manager for the Fayette County Conservation District. She was a graduate of the former South Huntingdon Township High School and she was a member of the Church of the Open Door, Connellsville.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas W. Adams; two daughters, Lois Jean Minnick and her husband, Ronald E., of Uniontown and Jo Anne McClain and her husband, William C., of Lititz, Lancaster County, Pa.; two grandchildren, Adam S. Minnick and his wife, Shelly, of Connellsville and Brad W. McClain of Towson, Md.; two brothers, Earl Smith and his wife, Nancy, and Dean Smith and his wife, Phyllis, all of Wisconsin; one sister, Alice Jones of Texas and two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Smith of Smithton and Mildred Fry of Scottdale.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by one brother, Kenneth Smith.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Wade Kuhlewind officiating.
