JOHNSONVILLE- Delwood Altman,74, died Saturday at a Hemingway hospital.
The funeral will be 2p.m. Monday at Johnsonville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will be in Old Johnsonville Cemetery, directed by Morris Funeral Home, Hemingway.
Mr. Altman was born at Hemingway, a son of the late Otwell Altman and Mrs. Mary Jo Lawrimore Altman. He was a retired building contractor and a member of Johnsonville Pentecostal Holiness Church and Givings Neck Hunting Club.
Surviving are: his widow, Mrs. Miriam Baxley Altman of Johnsonville; four sons, James V. Altman of Lake City, Carol ALtman of Florence, Warren Altman of Charleston and Mike Altman of Johnsonville; a daughter, Mrs. Bobbie Jane Baxley of Johnsonville; 2 brothers, Dutchman Altman of Johnsonville and Roland Altman of Hamlet, NC; 2 sisters, Mrs Margaret Davis of Johnsonville and Ruby McConnell of Georgetown; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
