Wallace B. Greenwood of 372 East Hickory, Union, Oregon, died at his home on Saturday, October 17, 1970 at the age of 72.

Mr. Greenwood was born on Sunday, May 29, 1898 at Beaver, Utah, the son of Nathan and Sarai Greenwood. He came to Wallowa from Utah at the age of eight and moved to Union three years later. He was married to Reba L. Shanks on Sunday, September 7, 1924 in Union. Mrs. Greenwood preceded him in death on Thursday, September 19, 1968. Mr. Greenwood was a member of the LDS Church of Union. He was a retired logger and farmer.

Survivors include his son, Dennis Greenwood, Pueblo, Colorado; daughter, Rosamae Jacobsen, Salt Lake City, Utah; two sisters, Hazel Sirrine, Salt Lake City, Utah; Elma Werst, Wallowa, Oregon; two brothers, Thomas Greenwood, Hot Lake, Oregon; Kenneth Greenwood, Baker, Oregon; eight grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 21, 1970 at 2 p.m. in the Union LDS Chapel with Bishop William B. Baxter officiating. Dedication of the grave followed at the Union Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Daniels Valley Funeral Chapel.
