My mother, Lucille, was born to Van and Grace (Hadlock)Conway. She married James Willard Brown in 1950. Children, Gerye Allen Brown, b. November 9, 1950, d. June 6, 1970 (in car wreck, buried by mother)and Gayle Ellen Brown, b. September 5, 1952. Divorced Willard Brown 1966. She married Donald Richard Downs March 25, 1967. They moved to Raytown Mo, in 1969 and lived there 20 years before moving back to Mt Vernon. After retirement she and Don restored and lived in the historic "Millsap" house on Main Street in Mt Vernon.
