OBITUARY NOTES
GALLATIN, Jan. 5- (Special) - The community was shocked this morning upon learning of the death of Mrs. Annie Boyers, at the home of her son-in-law, Charles Baker. She had been suffering with heart trouble for some time. Mrs. Boyers was 75 years of age and wqas born in Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland. She was married twice, first to W.H. Brown, and last to Col. Thomas Boyers, the latter the founder and editor of the Gallatin Examiner. She was the mother of Thomas Boyers, Jr., present owner of the Examiner. The funeral took place this afternoon at the residence of Charles E. Baker, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Gallatin cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. R.S. Burwell. The deceased was one of the most highly educated women in this section and possessed many noble traits of character. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, which she attended constantly.
