He and his wife moved to LaMonte from Shelbyville, TN in 1972. He was a faithful member of LaMonte United Methodist Church.
He was a veteran of the Navy during World War II. He worked 30 years for Jack Cooper Transport delivering new cars. He enjoyed his horses, his dog, Cookie, and baling hay. He also loved pulling his M Farmall at antique tractor pulls.
