Harold L. Detty Sr., 68 of New Petersburg died Thursday, May 4, 1989 at his home.
He was born November 21, 1920 in Vinton County to Stinson B. and Ruth Walsh Detty.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Karnes Detty, daughter of John M. and Nellie Taylor Detty, whom he married on August 7, 1950.
He is survived by a son Harold L. Detty Jr. Shreveport, La., two grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Estep of West Hyattsville, Md., two brothers, Owen Detty, Chillicothe; and Russell Detty, Pine River, Minn.
He was an Army Veteran of World War 11 and the Korean Conflict.
He was a 1939 graduate of Londonderry High School.
Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday at the Murray funeral Home, Greenfield.
Burial will follow in Gilboa Cemetery, New Petersburg. Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Saturday at the Fawcett-Oliver and Glass Funeral Home, Chillicothe and also after 4 P.M. Sunday at Murray Funeral Home, Greenfield.
