Mrs. Jennie Giffin, 72 of Route 2, Ava, a lifelong resident of Douglas County died at 11 p.m. March 5 at St. John's Hospital after a one-week illness. She was born Dec. 18, 1892 in Douglas county the daughter of William and Apama York Hall.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas O. Giffin; a daughter, Mrs. Nona Cope, of Route 2; a sister, Mrs. Alice Tucker of Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Horace Hall of Route 2, Ava and Ed Hall of Central, Iowa; two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., March 9 at the Clinkingbeard Chapel by Darrel Friend. Burial was made in the Prairie Hollow Cemetery by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home.
