Sally Ela Stanford Davis, 88, Ripley, died January 8, 2008 at Golden Living Center in Ripley. She was a member of Broadmore Baptist Church in Southaven, where she had lived previously. Services were January 8 at 11 am at McBride Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Memphis Memory Gardens. Survivors include her twin sister, Edith Stanford Thurmond, Ripley; one brother, Ellis Hugh Stanford (Pat), Palm Coast, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Davis; her parents, George Pinckney and Ila Chunn Stanford; a sister, Geraldine Stanford Goudelock; three brothers, Marlin Stanford, Wildred Stanford and G.P. Stanford; two half-sisters, Lillian Graves and Hermie Mercer.
