East Prairie - Funeral service for Maxine Elizabeth Dean of East Prairie will be held today at Shelby Funeral Home. Burial will be in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Dean, 72 years old, died Monday at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Feb. 3, 1925, at Dorena, the daughter of Guy Thomas and Lucy Doss Byassee. She and Beach Albert Dean were married Mar. 2, 1942. He died May 13, 1969.
She was a member of the First General Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Guylend, Beachie and Roy Dean; three daughters, Mary O'Guinn, Lucy Mars and Cindy Minehart; a brother, Lonnie Byassee; a sister, Guynell Thurman; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
