Thomasina Catherine Nicholson

CLARKSBURG -- Thomasina Catherine Nicholson, 78, of Huffman Avenue, Clarksburg, died Friday, March 21, 2003, in the United Hospital Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Nicholson was a retired bookkeeper with United Taxi Company.

She was born in Clarksburg January 28, 1925, a daughter of the late John and Constance Audia Gallo. She was married to John Monroe Nichols, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Pam Nicholson, Bridgeport, and George Edward and Barbara Nicholson, Sacramento, California; five grandchildren, Kevin Nicholson, Mary Heavilin, Kammi Sharpe, Amanda Nicholson and Joseph Michael Nicholson; five great-granchildren, Teresa Rose Heavilin, Patrick Sharpe, Brandon Sharpe, Kyle Nicholson and Jenna Nicholson; three brothers, Tony Gallo, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Joe Gallo, Reynoldsville, Carl Gallo, Reynoldsville; four sisters, Josephine Annie, Clarksburg, Sara Scolapio, North View, Rose Gallo, Adamston, Freda Wilson, Bridgeport; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Pete and John Gallo, and one sister, Mary Bishop.

Mrs. Nicholson was a member of the Lucinda Rose Auxiliary No. 573 VFW and the Mt. Zion Community Church in Anmoore.

Family and friends may call at the Davis Funeral Home, One Olen Thomas Drive, Route 98, Clarksburg, Sunday from 6-8 p.m., and Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 25th at 11 a.m. The Reverend Jim Logan will officiate. Interment will be in the Elk View Masonic Cemetery.
