Old Resident of Union Township Gone
Mrs. William Whitehead of Union Township died the evening of February first, aged 80 years, 9 months and 14 days. She was widowed in December, 1891 and remained on the old farm with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Hoop, until her death. She had been in feeble state of health for several years. Mr. and Mrs. Whitehead were residents of the county forty years ago and were numbered among the substantial farmers of the place. Two daughters survive their mother, Mrs. Susie Hoop and Mrs. Carrie Moss.
The funeral was held at the home Wednesday at 1 p. m., conducted by Rev. J. A. McGreaham of Mt. Pleasant MI, interment in Riverside beside her husband and two children, who preceded her.

Mrs. Wm. Whitehead, step-mother of Frank Whitehead of this city, died the first of the week at her home four miles south and west of town at the advanced age of 81 years. The funeral was conducted Wednesday and the body was taken to Riverside Cemetery.
