Mrs Frances G (sic) Stryker, widow of Samuel Stryker, and a well-known resident died at her late home near Petersburg on Tuesday morning, November 26, 1935, at 7:30 o'clock after one year's illness. Death was due to a paralytic stroke.

She was born in Porter township on February 26, 1860 a daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Piper) Sprankle. At the time of her death she was aged 75 years and 9 months.

Mrs Stryker had been a resident of Porter township all her life, was a kind neighbor, a loving wife and a devoted mother. She was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church of Petersburg. Her husband, Samuel Stryker, died on July 13, 1910.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs Ethel Hoffman, and one step-daughter, Mrs Alma McCue, of Cleveland. One brother, Alvin Sprankle, of Petersburg, and three grandchildren also survive.

Friends my call at the Temple funeral home until 9 o'clock Thurday morning when the body will be taken to her late home near Petersburg where funeral services will be held at 2 p m Thursday afternoon November26, 1935, with the Rev Charles Stong, officiating. Interment will be made in Cedar Grove cemetery. Temple's funeral service.
