Leonor passed away at the age of 71, from a fall that turned fatal, on Sept 3, 2011. L.R. was born to Matilde Rodriguez and Jesse Bernal on July 25, 1940 in Fort Worth, Texas. She came to San Diego with her family in 1953 when she was 12 years old. She attended Memorial Jr. High and San Diego High Schools. L.R. was the oldest of nine children and was like a second mother to her 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
L.R. is preceded in death by her parents, Matilde & Jesse Rodriguez, Husband, Jose Ramiro Arreola, son, Daniel R. Arreola, brothers; David Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez, Martin Rodriguez, and Manuel Rodriguez, all of National City.
Survivors: one brother, Gabriel Rodriguez, three sisters, Maria Regina Rodriguez, Andrea Rodriguez, and Barbara Martinez, sons, Jose Arreola, Jr. Gilbert Arreola, three granchildren, all of National City, CA, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
L.R. will always be remembered as concerning, emotional, and a sympathetic person. Her favorite phrase was:
"Be Honest, Don't Lie".
