World War I Victoria Cross Medal Recipient. He served as a Private in the 50th Battalion of the South Australia Imperial Forces. On April 2, 1917, during an advance towards the village of Noreuil, Frnace, the 50th Battalion came under enfiladed fire from a German forward machine-gun posts which caused heavy casualties. Private Jensen, rushed the first post with bombs eliminating the machine-gun crew. With one of his bombs he threatened to throw it at the others and bluffed another German position into surrendering, taking about forty prisoners. For most conspicuous bravery, he was awarded the Victoria Cross Medal and promoted Corporal. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
