The first woman to practice medicine in Louisiana. Graduate of Penn Medical College. Came to New Orleans in 1857, wife of Aaron Cohen, daughter of Phoebe Magnus Cohen Young & David Cohen, immigrated to the USA in 1827. Grandchild of Sarah and Lazarus Magnus of Chatham County of Kent, England.
