Services are on Wednesday for Grace Barron


Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 25 at First Christian Church for Grace Pearl Barron, 85 who died January 22, 1984 at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

The Rev. Owen Wilmot will officiate. Burial will be in Blair Cemetery.

Grace Pearl Barron was born in Sigraney, Iowa, May 23, 1898 to James E and Melvia Conger Lemon. She married Richard Barron August 4, 1915, at Blair.

She cooked for the Blair Lions Club for about 25 years. She was also a cook for the Topper Restaurant.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard; one daughter, Peggy Ward; and one sister, Ethel Chirstensen.

She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. William (Marie) Boon, Omaha, Mrs. Irene Cummings, Blair, Mrs. Maurice (Eleanor) Worrall, Omaha, Mrs. Henry (Sally) Mohr, Schriber, Nebraska, and Mrs. Jerome (Joan) Andersen, Riverton, Wyoming, and two sons, Robert Barron, Bristol, Virginia, and James Barron, Denver Colorado. Twenty-nine grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren also survive her.

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
