Robert Harper Bartlett
Representative Robert Harper Barlett, a well known citizen of East Windsor,
which he represented in the last Legislature, serving on the railroad committee,
died at his home yesterday morning, after an illness of several months. He was born in East Windsor, November 24, 1864, a son of Deacon Daniel and Fanny (Griswold) Bartlett, and grandson of Rev. Shubael Bartlett, who was pastor of the First Congregational Church of East Windsor for fifty years. He was a member of the above mentioned church; of Oriental Lodge, No. 111, A. F. & A. M., of Broad Brook, and other Masonic bodies, including Washington Commandery of Hartford. Mr Barlett was a progressive and prosperous farmer and hand many friends. He was twice married, in 1898 to Miss Fannie C. Mason, who died in 1913, and last September to Miss Ruth E. Potwine, who survives him.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at his home. Rev. Roger E. Trent will officiate. The burial will be in the Scantic Cemetery.
