Edward Taylor, the father of the above
family, decd. Nov. 25th 1798. He was
drowned in Plymouth harbor not far from
Saquish; his body was found and buried in
Plymouth July 10th 1799.

Adverse the tide - in boat the surge he braves
And meets his fate beneath o'erwhelming waves,
Thus fell the husband kind the parent dear,
The loving brother and the friend sincere.
