Isabel (Chillingworth) Burke, 87, of 70 Pakachoag Village, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, in the Hospice Residence, Worcester, after an illness.

Her husband of 62 years, David J. Burke Jr., died in August. She leaves three sons, Robert C. Burke of Auburn, David J. Burke III of Poughquag, N.Y. and Peter F. Burke of Garden City, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. A daughter, Noreen F. Burke of Pelham, N.Y., a brother, Frederick Chillingworth, and a sister, Josephine Chillingworth, predeceased her. She was born in New Rochelle, N.Y. daughter of Frederick W. and Isabelle (Southern) Chillingworth, and lived in Auburn for 20 years.

Mrs. Burke worked for Philip Stahl Imports Co. in Pelham, N.Y., retiring many years ago. She was a member of North American Martyrs Church and St. Jospeh's Women's Club.

The funeral was held Saturday, Sept. 22, from Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main St., Worcester, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive. Entombment was in St. John's Mausoleum, Worcester. A calling hour was held 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Sept 22, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations were made to Hospice Residence, 10 Judith Road, Worcester, MA 01602.
