Died in the fall of 1893 per her descendants and was buried in Old Harmony Cemetery, Rainbow City, Etowah Co., AL. Uncertain if this date is accurate. A descendant of Ludie Whorton Hill identified where "Granny Fannie" was buried next to a tree on the hill to the right side of the entrance gate near the highway. A plaque was placed by an avid genealogist, E. Hill.
Fannie was about 37 years old when she died, a mother of six children-possibly seven. She formerly was married to James "Jim" Whorton, son of Benjamin Bridges Whorton and Leah Moragne Whorton. Fannie and Jim's children were James Madison Whorton, Mary Ellen Whorton, Luiza "Ludie" Whorton Hill, and Hattie Whorton Moon Robertson. Fannie and James divorced and he married Katie Fulks. Mrs. Fannie Whorton married George R. Daniel and their children were Hiram Benjamin "Ben" Daniel 1889-1956 (buried in Texas) and Seaborn H. "Seab" Daniel 1892-1969 (buried in Forrest Cemetery, Gadsden, AL.) It is uncertain if Art James Daniel (who died in Texas) was her child or a child of George R. Daniel and his next spouse. George Daniel and his next two spouses, Dora Rhodes Daniel and Eula Bryant McCullars Daniel, are buried in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Southside, Etowah Co., AL.
