Mr. Gault attended school until the eighth grade when he left to help support his family.
He was a veteran in the U.S. Army, serving with the 29th Bomb Disposal Squadron. Mr. Gault's Squadron fought in Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. Upon his return from the war, he went to barber school in Erie and barbered on the side and after retirement
Mr. Gault worked for Tidewater and then went on to work for National Transit Co. of Bradford for over 25 years retiring in 1987.
Mr. Gault enjoyed fly fishing and fly tying and sharing his knowledge of both with anyone who was interested. He enjoyed his garden and usually gave half of it away. He loved playing his guitar and harmonica and was known for his great sense of humor.
