He married Helen M. Kuhn on May 28, 1940 in Victoria.
He was a retired farmer and employee of the First National Bank. He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; and a son, Marvin of Hays; a daughter, Ellen Schriner of Albert; a brother, two sisters and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Father Carl Kramer officiated; burial was in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria.
