Her marriage license appears Lily Rosalie (which could actually be in error), but she called herself Lily Rose.
Wife of Chalmers Patton Seabrook Sr. Daughter of Rev. Jerome L. Hunter (a former railroad agent and Methodist minister originally from Fairfax County, Virginia) and Lillian Vivian Smith Hunter of Benton Co., Miss., also from a Virginia heritage.
Mrs. Seabrook was active in the Methodist Church throughout her life and was a supporter of the Union Mission in downtown Memphis, among her interests. She was a bright, industrious matriarch of a family of four enterprising sons. After their father's untimely death from a surgery gone awry, her sons expanded his Memphis paint store business during the Depression (amazingly enough) into a successful wholesale enterprise which continued into the 21st century under the guidance of descendants.
Mrs. Seabrook's heritage extends back to Scotland through revolutionary war patriots in Virginia on her father's side and the Benton County, Mississippi Smith family on her mother's side (who also originally hailed from Virginia).
