Catherine Graves, wife of Eli Graves, aged 71 years, died at her residence 1 1/2 miles from Ray, Friday, April 6. She had been ailing for some time, but was not considered dangerous. She was sitting at the table eating when stricken with death, only lasting a few minutes after. She leaves a husband, two sons, one sister, and four brothers, one of the brothers, B.W. Thacker, being postmaster at Hamden. Besides the above she leaves a host of friends. Burial at Log Pile cemetery.
