Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Audrey McDonough Zwick, passed away peacefully September 15, 2011, surrounded by family members. This gracious lady lived eighty-eight joyful years.

Audrey was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, June 17, 1923, to Roy L. and Carol Smith McDonough, the youngest of five children. She grew up in Salt Lake City, attended South High School and the University of Utah, graduating with a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology.

On August 22, 1946 Audrey was sealed to her lifelong love and companion, William E. Zwick, Jr. They raised their five children, Craig, Connie, Laurie, Carolee and Jeff in the home they have lived in for over sixty years.

Everyone coming through the Zwick front door felt Audrey's warm welcome. In every way she gave Christ like service. As a devoted Visiting Teacher, Young Women Advisor, Relief Society President, Sunday School Teacher and Primary worker, she touched lives in meaningful ways. She served unwearyingly with her husband as he presided over the California Sacramento and Ireland Missions.

She was a friend to everyone in her neighborhood, ward and community, dedicating much of her time to the PTA, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, as a Hostess at the Church Office Building and the Joseph Smith Memorial Building with her precious companion.

She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, her children and her 25 precious grandchildren. Each one knew they were loved by their Grandma. That legacy of love has extended to her 45 great-grandchildren, who added brightness and joy to her life.

Audrey is survived by her husband; her children, Craig (Jan), Connie (Gary, deceased) Allen, Laurie (Dirk) Jergensen, Carolee (Bill) Schlofman and Jeff (Michelle); her sister, Helen Lake; and brother, Jean W. McDonough.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul McDonough; and sister, Marjorie Wright.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 19, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at the Monument Park Stake Center, 1320 South Wasatch Drive, Salt Lake.
