Thomas Polson was supposed to have been be born at Sugar Creek in Randolph County, Missouri a son of John Ellis Polson and Frances Sims Polson.
From Deborah Myers: "Thomas' first wife was Melissa Archer and they had two children. Noah Polson was born in 1875 and Clara Elizabeth Polson was born in 1877. Melissa died sometime after Clara was born, but before 1888 when Thomas was living with his sister with his two children."
Thomas was married twice. His first marriage was to Leavana Mitchell. This marriage did not last long. There are no known children from this marriage.
He was united in marriage with Francis Elizabeth Garringer on November 25, 1882 in Putnam County, Missouri. This union resulted in eleven children.
Thomas' death certificate pulled up from the Missouri digital archives indicates Thomas' burial location, but unfortunately it is nearly impossible to read. It may say 'Cox Cemetery'. There is a Cox cemetery listed in a Putnam County genealogy page found online, however, there is no Cox Cemetery listed in findagrave. As a result of these circumstances, I have entered Thomas and several of his young children on this nearby cemetery that was often used by his wife's family.
