She was born Jan. 29, 1937, in Trosper, Ky., the daughter of Ernest and Edna Lewellyn Hampton. She was a 1956 graduate of Rising Sun High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Plum Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family, and shopping.
She is survived by one daughter, Oneva Beach of near Moorefield; one sister, Joyce Klusman Swinney of Versailles; her step mother, Ruby Hampton of Richmond; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Dickerson, whom she married Sept. 24, 1961, and who died Dec. 22, 1987; one son, Danny Dickerson; her father; her mother, Edna Lewellyn Hampton Hambrick; and one brother, Charles Glenn Hampton.
The funeral was at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Burial was in Vevay Cemetery.
