Wilda Lenna Albaitis, 84, of Ludington, passed away June 1 at Autumn Winds Adult Foster Care Facility. She was born Nov. 22, 1925 in Custer, to the late Oscar and Geneva (Lehman) Odean.
Wilda attended Scottville Area High School graduating in 1943. She married William Nelson Brye in Kansas in 1944 and William Albaitis in Nevada in 1964. Wilda worked at Star Watch Case in Ludington. She and her husband owned and operated a fruit farm in Riverton Township, then moved to Muskegon in 1959 and opened a fruit market. They moved back to Ludington to farm in 1961. She later worked at Montgomery Wards and The Little Red Shoe House until she retired in 1998.
She enjoyed playing cards with her sisters, bowling, golfing, spending winters in Florida, loved Tiger baseball, Lions football but most of all she loved her family.
Wilda is survived by three daughters, three step-sons, eight grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; three sisters, cousins and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Geneva Odean; brother, Russell Odean; sister, Loreen Dodson; and two husbands, William Brye and William Albaitis.
