Clinton Werner Priess peacefully joined his Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 11, 2011. Clint was born on December 8, 1928 in Fredericksburg, Texas to Alex and Clara Weber Priess and attended Southwest Texas State University and Texas Lutheran College where he met his wife, Cordy Baethge Priess. He owned several oil & gas related companies and was a retired homebuilder in the Memorial area of Houston. Clint was a long-term member of Champions Country Club and had lifelong passions for golfing, boating, and fishing on the gulf coast, as well as hunting in South Texas. Clint is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and son, Gregg Priess, and is survived by his daughter Renee Pryon and her husband Bob and their sons David and Stephen. He will be buried at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Michael L. Fry officiating a funeral service to celebrate his life on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 12:30 pm. All those who knew Clint are welcome to attend the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, you may honor Clint by making donations to the American Lung Association at 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 2004 ([email protected]) in support of research for COPD, which is the third leading cause of death in the United States.
