She worked as an aide for HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Erie and was also a private nurse. She graduated from East High School. A member of Shiloh Baptist Church, she enjoyed cooking and caring for the elderly.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sparkle Joy Arrington.
Survivors include her companion, Cleveland Arrington; her stepfather, George Tate of Erie; her stepmother, Cathy Lyons of Erie; two brothers, Peter and James Tate of Erie; two sisters, Rosalynn Tate of Erie and Tonya Tate of Fort Worth, Texas; two half brothers, Ebon McKenzie and Tramayne Lyons of Erie; five half sisters, Bridgette Lyons, Ricquelle Freeman, Trelisha Lyons Zellars, Tia Lyons Slupski and Lakitha McKinney, all of Erie; her paternal grandmother, Lillie Mae Lyons of Erie; her maternal grandmother, Mollie Wilcox of Erie; Sally Morgan, who helped raise her; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
