~0bit~Mrs. Kyle Stoner, 66, of Waterloo, former Winthrop resident, died Tuesday morning, May 26, at the Schoitz Memorial Hosptal of a heart attack suffered a week before. Doris Hoover Stoner was born near Quaqueton on July 31, 1903, the daughter of Edward and Lurena Hoover. On November 3, 1923, she was married to Kyle Edward Stoner. They lived most of their married life in Buchanan and Black Hawk counties and resided in Winthrop for 17 years, moving to Waterloo in 1969. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Winthrop. Surviving besides her husband is a daughter, Mrs. Wayne Badger, and a son, Daryl Stoner, both of Waterloo; 4 grandchildren and three half-sisters: Mrs. Arlie (Imogene) Sauer of Winthrop; Mrs. Ray (Lurah) Krapf of Walker; and Mrs. Ralph (Ada) Kautz of Rowley. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Donald, a brother, Lester Raymond Hoover, step mother, Jennie Hoover and a half sister, Vivian Hoover. A prayer service will be held at the Parker Funeral Home in Jesup at 1 P.M. Thursday, May 28. Funeral services will be held in the United Methodist Church in Winthrop at 2 P.M. with Rev. Donald Bardole officiating. Interment will be in the Circle Grove Cemetery cemetery at the Hoover Church near Quasqueton. Pallbearers are Oliver Brown, Lloyd Scott, Loyal Scott, Richard Dopp and Leonard Peterson.
