Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 3, at Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
Otto Lee Hansen was born July 13, 1900, in Loup City, the son of Nickalous and Pauline (Jung) Hansen. He received his education in the Loup City schools. He married Letha M. Mallory on August 18, 1928, in Lincoln. They were the parents of Richard and Drucilla. Otto and Letha were later divorced. He proudly served in the Navy Seabees during World War II. Following his discharge from the service, he returned to Scottsbluff. He married Bertha Elizabeth (Miller) Lytle on March 13, 1957, in Harrisburg. He was employed with the Nebraska Department of Roads and Irrigation, until he retired. Bertha preceded him in death on June 10, 1975. He was a member of Admiral Dewey Post 1681 VFW and Panhandle Engineers Society.
Surviving are one son, Richard (Phyllis) Hansen of Lake Havasu City, AZ; two granddaughters; one son-in-law, George Strait of Austin, TX; two sisters, Amelia (Fred) Stoddard of Ord and Ann Waggoner of Stockton, CA; four brothers, Christian (Mildred) Hansen of Loveland, CO, William (Marie) Hansen of Broken Bow, John (Mary) Hansen of Long Beach, CA, and Lawrence (Hazel) Hansen of Loup City; and two brothers-in-law, Roscoe Baker of Minneapolis, MN, and Leon Tyler of Ithaca, NY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one daughter, Drucilla Strait, two sisters, Matilda Baker and Gertrude Tyler, one brother, August Hansen and one brother-in-law, Owen Waggoner.
