Mrs. Jane Watt Small, aged 56 years, wife of J. C. Small, of this city, died on Wednesday, Oct. 6th, of consumption, after an illness covering a period of several years. A husband and eight children are left to mourn her death, Mrs. J. R. Westfall, Mrs. F. A. Farrar, Misses Clara, Jean, Winnifred, Mary and Fred Small, of this city, and J. W. Small, of Winnemucca, Nev. The funeral services occur this, Friday afternoon, from the residence on Seventh street north, Rev. D. D. McKay officiating. The deceased was an estimable Christian lady beloved by all. She was born in Ontario and was united in marriage to Mr. Small in 1864 at Guelph, the family making their home at Chatham for over twenty years removing from there to Brainerd.
